NEW YORK, Aug. 27 (UPI) -- "GCB" actress Kristin Chenoweth will be the first guest co-host on Anderson Cooper's "Anderson Live," the syndicated U.S. daytime talk show said Monday.

The CNN anchorman's program, which now goes by the name "Anderson," is to begin its second season Sept. 10 with the new name, a new studio set, a live format and rotating guest co-hosts, the show's producers said.

Other guest co-hosts are to include actress-director-producer Goldie Hawn, British fashion designer Kelly Osbourne of the reality series "The Osbournes," singer-songwriter Cyndi Lauper, comedian-actor-TV host Howie Mandel, sportscaster Erin Andrews, comedian-commentator D.L. Hughley and country music singer Kellie Pickler.

Scheduled guests are to include actor Richard Gere; singer-songwriter-actress Beyonce; comedian Carol Burnett; actors Kelsey Grammer, Jake Gyllenhaal and Ty Burrel; actresses Meg Ryan, Claire Danes, Kerry Washington and Julie Bowen; actor-director-writer Ben Affleck; and political satirist TV host Stephen Colbert.

Cooper said in a statement the live format will give the show "more freedom to cover topical issues as well as connect more with the viewer at home."
