LOS ANGELES, July 30 (UPI) -- U.S. actress Elizabeth Berkley announced via Twitter she has given birth to her first child, a son named Sky Cole Lauren.

"I am moved to share the birth of our new baby boy, Sky Cole Lauren," the former "Saved By the Bell" star tweeted Monday. "Thank you for your beautiful wishes and blessings. We are grateful!"

UsMagazine.com said the baby was born July 20.

No other details regarding the child's birth were immediately available.

Berkley married actor and painter Greg Lauren in November 2003.
