SAN DIEGO, July 15 (UPI) -- The cast of "Glee" was tight-lipped about its upcoming fourth season at a Comic-Con fan panel in San Diego.

While panels for many television shows revealed footage for upcoming seasons and gave some hints at what the future holds, "Glee" actors and producers didn't give away much that wasn't already known, U-T San Diego reported Saturday.

The panel consisted of actors Kevin McHale, Lea Michele, Cory Monteith, Jenna Ushkowitz, Naya Rivera, Darren Criss and executive producers Brad Falchuck, Dante DiLoreto and Ian Brennan.

"It's better when you are surprised," Falchuck said more than once in response to fan questions.

The panelists said there's some uncertainty going into next season because Michele's character is heading to New York City, leaving other cast members back in high school.

"It's about making sure those worlds talk to each other in an interesting way," Falchuck said.

A Britney Spears tribute and an appearance by Kate Hudson are in the works for season four, producers said.
