LeBron James wins big at ESPY awards

LOS ANGELES, July 12 (UPI) -- Miami Heat star LeBron James earned the prizes for Best Male Athlete, Best NBA Player and Best Championship Performance at the 20th annual ESPY Awards.

The Miami Heat also was named Best Team.

Comedian Rob Riggle served as host of the ESPYs in Los Angeles Wednesday night.

Jeremy Lin was named Best Breakthrough Athlete and Brittney Griner Best Female Athlete and Best Female College Athlete.

Drew Brees won the Best Record Breaking Performance honor and the 49ers versus the Saints was declared Best Game. The Best Comeback Athlete title went to Matthew Stafford, the Los Angeles Kings were called Best Upset and Christian Watford took the prize for Best Play.

Tim Tebow caught the award for Best Moment and Tim Coughlin of the New York Giants was named Best Coach/Manager.

Lionel Messi picked up the trophy for Best International Athlete.
