ORLANDO, Fla., July 10 (UPI) -- U.S. comedian and writer Seth Meyers says he's not leaving "Saturday Night Live" to serve as co-host of "Live!" with Kelly Ripa.
Ripa's longtime co-host Regis Philbin left the show last year after failing to hammer out a new deal with the morning program's producers.
Meyers is among the many guest co-hosts who have been filling in while a permanent replacement is hired.
"No, no, no, no, no," Meyers told the Orlando Sun-Sentinel in Florida. "I know [Regis' replacement] is a very important thing down there. But, right now, what I would say to you: I'm really in love with the job I have. I'm very excited to be going back [to 'SNL'] for the election season, which is always fun."
