LOS ANGELES, June 24 (UPI) -- The animal-rights group Born Free says it hopes American singer Cee Lo Green reconsiders his plan to bring his Moluccan cockatoo on "The Voice."
Green recently said Lady will accompany him on the singing competition series where he is a judge.
But Born Free's Monica Engrebretson told TMZ stress from the show could cause the endangered bird to self-mutilate.
"Moluccan cockatoos are beautiful, intelligent animals but they are very challenging to care for, especially over the long term, and are prone to considerable welfare problems," Engrebretson told the celebrity news Web site.
