LOS ANGELES, June 21 (UPI) -- American cable network truTV says it has ordered a second season of its hidden-camera series "Impractical Jokers."

The 15-episode run of fresh episodes is to begin in December, the network said Thursday.

The reality show follows four lifelong friends -- Brian "Q" Quinn, James "Murr" Murray, Joe Gatto and Sal Vulcano -- who take dares to an outrageous level.

"Ever since they were little kids growing up together, Q, Murr, Joe and Sal have challenged one another to do the most ridiculous public dares imaginable," a synopsis said. "Now, to find out who's best under pressure, they're competing in unbelievably awkward and outrageous hidden-camera hijinks. Then, at the end of each episode, the loser must attempt the most mortifying challenge ever."
