Romano joining 'Parenthood' cast

UNIVERSAL CITY, Calif., June 19 (UPI) -- Emmy-winning actor Ray Romano is set to guest star on the upcoming season of the U.S. drama series "Parenthood," NBC said Tuesday.

In a multi-episode arc, Romano will play a photographer and former photo-journalist who befriends Sarah, played by Lauren Graham, and complicates her relationship with Mark, played by Jason Ritter.

Romano's character will be introduced in the show's Season 4 premiere Sept. 11.

The comedian and actor is best known for his work on TV's "Everybody Loves Raymond" and "Men of a Certain Age."
