Sheen to FX: No drug testing

LOS ANGELES, June 18 (UPI) -- Hollywood actor Charlie Sheen says he told FX, the network airing his new sitcom, he will not be subjected to random drug testing.

Sheen, who has long battled addictions to drugs and alcohol, was fired from his CBS sitcom last year because of his drug use and related erratic behavior.

The actor told The New York Times he refused to undergo random drug testing at the behest of his new employer FX, which will begin airing his sitcom "Anger Management" later this month.

"I told them to go [away] with that one. It's an invasion of privacy, man. Total invasion of privacy. If they say, 'What's going on?' I'm like, I don't know, what's going on with you? 'Well, you seem a little…' Really, that's your opinion? How does the work look? 'Well, the work's great but...' Everything after 'but' is a dial tone. Go to hell," the Times quoted him as saying.
