LONDON, June 18 (UPI) -- The trial of Tony McCluskie -- accused of killing his sister, actress Gemma McCluskie, then dismembering her body -- is to begin in London in November.

The BBC said officials have set a Nov. 12 start date for the trial, with a plea and case-management hearing scheduled Oct. 12.

Tony McCluskie, 35, was arrested after the torso of his 29-year-old sister was discovered in Regent's Canal March 6. She had been reported missing several days earlier.

The actress was best known for playing Kerry Skinner in the soap opera "EastEnders" in 2001.
