LOS ANGELES, June 8 (UPI) -- Lindsay Lohan's publicist says the actress is "fine" after her car and a dump truck collided Friday morning near the beach in Santa Monica, Calif.

"She was brought to Santa Monica UCLA hospital as a precaution," her representative told People.com. "She is fine and was released less than 2 hours later and is already headed back to the set to resume work. Fortunately, no one was seriously injured in the accident."

Lohan, 25, is working on the Elizabeth Taylor bio-picture "Liz & Dick" in Los Angeles -- her first lead role in years as her career was sidelined because of her substance-abuse issues and legal difficulties.

Hollyscoop.com said Lohan was driving with an unidentified assistant, who suffered bumps and bruises, at the time of the incident.

Santa Monica police said there was no indication of intoxication in the crash, the Los Angeles Times reported.

The cause of the crash is under investigation, People.com said.
