Former child star Dee Jay Daniels charged with murder

STOCKTON, Calif., June 7 (UPI) -- Former child star Dee Jay Daniels has been charged with stabbing a man to death outside a Stockton, Calif., club, police said.

Daniels, 23, has been charged with possession of marijuana, premeditated murder and gang activity in the fatal stabbing of 26-year-old John Joseph last summer, E! News said Wednesday. Two other men were also arrested for taking part in the attack.

Daniels, a former cast member of the sitcom "The Hughleys," is being held in San Joaquin County jail with no bail and could face life in prison if convicted, E! said.

The actor's other small-screen credits include "Cold Case," "Coach," "ER," "Grace Under Fire," "The Wayans Bros." and "Family Matters."
