'Nurse Jackie' renewed for Season 5

LOS ANGELES, May 31 (UPI) -- Showtime says it has ordered a fifth season of its New York-set dramedy "Nurse Jackie," starring Edie Falco.

EW.com said former "Dexter" executive producer Clyde Phillips has signed on to be the series' new show-runner.

Production on the fresh episodes is to begin in late 2012, but no season premiere date has been announced yet, EW.com said.
