LONDON, May 29 (UPI) -- About 9.6 million people in the United Kingdom watched the weekend broadcast of the Eurovision Song Contest, The Hollywood Reporter said.

Singer Engelbert Humperdinck, the country's entrant in the competition, came in second to last behind Norway's entry, Tooji, which ranked No. 26.

Swedish singer Loreen was declared the winner on Saturday night's broadcast from Azerbaijan, a former Soviet republic.
