4.7M watched Obama 'View' interview

NEW YORK, May 17 (UPI) -- U.S. President Barack Obama's appearance on "The View" this week was watched by 4.7 million total viewers, ABC said.

Tuesday's edition of the chat program was the series' most-watched telecast in 15 months, the network said.

The interview touched on the president's recent support of gay marriage as well as his administration's accomplishments, the economy, the upcoming election and family life inside the White House.
