LOS ANGELES, May 11 (UPI) -- Hollie Cavanagh, an 18-year-old British-born singer living in Texas, was voted off "American Idol" in Los Angeles.

She was cast off Thursday night after her performance of Bonnie Raitt's "I Can't Make You Love Me" on Wednesday's edition of the show failed to impress judges Randy Jackson, Steven Tyler and Jennifer Lopez.

Host Ryan Seacrest said Cavanagh earned the smallest share of the 70 million votes cast this week.

Going into next week's finals are Phillip Phillips, Joshua Ledet and Jessica Sanchez.
