NEW YORK, May 3 (UPI) -- British rock icon Mick Jagger is to serve as host of "Saturday Night Live" this month for the first time, NBC announced Thursday.

The Rolling Stones front man also will be the musical guest for the May 19 season finale of the show.

This will be Jagger's first time as host and third appearance as musical guest on "SNL."
