LOS ANGELES, April 30 (UPI) -- U.S. cable network E! says it plans to air a reality show about pop singer Kevin Jonas and his wife, Danielle.

Jonas is a member of the fraternal music group the Jonas Brothers. He met Danielle Deleasa while on a family vacation in the Bahamas, and the couple married in 2009.

"Danielle is living a true Cinderella story after marrying into pop royalty, partnering in Kevin's larger-than-life career and becoming a 'Jonas,' a name synonymous with hit music and a worldwide fan base," Lisa Berger, president of entertainment programming for E!, said in a statement Monday.

"The series presents a unique look at a young couple and their families from two entirely different worlds -- one small town and one dealing with international fame -- coming together as one and starting a whole new life together."

"Married to Jonas" is to premiere Aug. 19.
