SAN FRANCISCO, April 29 (UPI) -- Two former "Biggest Loser" contestants who met on the reality television show were married in San Francisco, People magazine reported.

Sam Poueu, 27, and Stephanie Anderson, 32, said "I do" Saturday at Saint Paul's Catholic Church, both wearing Vera Wang creations.

Anderson described her gown as "meant for me" on her wedding Web site. She said she "wept tears of excitement, relief, joy and I felt like the most beautiful woman."

The couple met on the NBC show in 2009 when Poueu weighed 372 pounds and Anderson weighed 264 pounds. Anderson accepted Poueu's proposal of marriage on a "Biggest Loser" episode in October 2010.

Tragedy struck for the couple in September when Poueu fell from the roof of a four-story building and required multiple surgeries.

"He said early on that he lived for me," Anderson said after the accident. "He wanted to be married to me. He wanted to have children with me and grow old with me."
