LOS ANGELES, April 24 (UPI) -- Ryan Seacrest has signed a $30 million deal to remain as host of "American Idol" for two more years, The Hollywood Reporter said.

He has starred on the singing-competition show since it debuted in 2002. It is now in its 11th season.

Show producers and network executives "cannot envision the show without Ryan," one "Idol" insider told The Hollywood Reporter. "The goal has always been to keep him."

Seacrest, who has his own radio show, is also an E! News anchor and will cover the Olympics this summer for NBC.
