LOS ANGELES, April 20 (UPI) -- NBC has ordered a new American comedy series called "Go On," starring Matthew Perry, for the fall, TVGuide.com reported Friday.

The show reunites Perry with "Friends" writer/producer Scott Silveri, who will executive-produce along with Todd Holland, who is directing the pilot, the television news Web site said.

The series casts Perry as a sportscaster attempting to move on from a loss by taking part in mandatory group-therapy sessions. The show will co-star Julie White and Suzy Nakamura, TVGuide.com reported.

Perry starred on "Friends" for 10 years. After that, he appeared on the short-lived series "Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip" and "Mr. Sunshine." He has a recurring role on "The Good Wife."
