SILVER SPRING, Md., April 8 (UPI) -- Discovery Communication said it is expanding its slate of reality shows into the Animal Planet network with two fishing-themed series for the 2012-13 season.

Unnamed Animal Planet executives said their competition series "Top Hooker" will set two teams of 10 expert fishers in head-to-head challenges. And in "Fish America," pro wrestler Eric Young goes around the United States hand fishing with other competitors, broadcastingandcable.com reported Thursday.

Other new programming on the Animal Planet slate includes "Polar Bear Family and Me," "The Afterlife: Elephant," "The Afterlife: Hippo," "Rhino Wars," "Wild Arabia" and "Wild Hawaii," the Web site said.
