LOS ANGELES, March 17 (UPI) -- Actress Eva Longoria was involved in a low-speed fender bender while leaving a Los Angeles parking lot, TMZ reported.

The "Desperate Housewives" star backed her Bentley into a BMW after the mechanical arm at the parking lot exit wouldn't raise up, the Web site reported Friday. She was trying to back up to find another exit.

Longoria's Bentley appeared unscathed, though the hood and front grill of the BMW was damaged, TMZ said.

The actress, who turned 37 this week, has told People magazine she's very happy about her life since her split from boyfriend Eduardo Cruz.

"I feel very excited about my life and I'm excited about things to come," she said, speaking for the first time since the breakup. "There are so many things on the horizon."

On top of wrapping up the final episodes of "Desperate Housewives," Longoria is busy co-chairing President Barack Obama's re-election campaign. She'll be meeting with him in Washington next week to talk about education, immigration and the economy, People said.

"I'm always nervous" about meeting him, Longoria said. "It's the president of the United States. You should always get nervous."
