NEW YORK, March 16 (UPI) -- Broadcast journalist Katie Couric says her new weekday talk show "Katie" will start taping in New York this September.
"We now have our studio, a great-looking logo that exudes all of the qualities we want the show to convey, and a terrific team with a diverse background of experience," the New York Daily News quoted show producer Jeff Zucker as saying Thursday in a Webcast with Couric by his side. "We couldn't be more excited about Sept. 10. It's going to be a lot of fun."
The Daily News said the creative team behind the new series will include "The Oprah Winfrey Show" director Joe Terry as well as co-executive producer Kathy Samuels, who has worked on "Rachael Ray" and "Access Hollywood."
Couric is a former anchor of the CBS Evening News and co-host of NBC's "Today" show.
