LOS ANGELES, March 14 (UPI) -- CBS said Wednesday it has renewed its U.S. programs "How I Met Your Mother," "2 Broke Girls" and "The Big Bang Theory" for 2012-13.

Also set to return next season are "Mike & Molly," "NCIS," "NCIS: Los Angeles," "Hawaii 5-0," "Criminal Minds," "CSI," "Person of Interest," "The Mentalist," "Blue Bloods," "The Good Wife," "The Amazing Race," "Undercover Boss," "60 Minutes," "48 Hours Mystery" and "Survivor."

CBS and Warner Bros. Television are in preliminary discussions regarding future seasons for "Two and a Half Men," as well, the network said. The sitcom's star Charlie Sheen was fired half-way through the show's eighth season for drug use and erratic behavior. Ashton Kutcher took over as the series lead for the current ninth season.

"This large-scale renewal is testimony to the strength, stability and success of a deep and diverse roster of top-rated programming," Nina Tassler, president of CBS Entertainment, said in a statement. "It positions us for continued success next season and certainly creates an environment that will give our new shows the best possible chance to succeed."
