ROME, Ga., March 3 (UPI) -- "Sixteen and Pregnant" star Whitney Purvis admits her theft of a pregnancy test landed her in a Georgia jail, but says she's not pregnant a second time.
Purvis, 20, was arrested Thursday when a Walmart security guard caught her swiping the pregnancy test and taking it into the women's restroom, TMZ reported Saturday.
Purvis said she planned on using the test in the restroom but got scared and threw it in the trash.
"My boyfriend was with me and he had money -- but I didn't want to freak him out. I was just being stupid with my decisions. I wish I would have handled the situation better," she said.
Purvis said she's happy to report she's not pregnant, because she "didn't want another kid." She added she's learned her lesson.
"I never will go back to jail or steal again in my life," she said.
