NEW YORK, Feb. 20 (UPI) -- Troubled actress Lindsay Lohan announced via Twitter she is to serve as a guest host on "Saturday Night Live" in New York next month.

Lohan will star in the March 3 episode of the sketch comedy series.

Jack White is to be the musical guest for the night.

Lohan's film credits include "The Parent Trap," "Freaky Friday," "Mean Girls" and "A Prairie Home Companion."

Her once-bright career has been eclipsed in recent years by her addictions to drugs and alcohol, and related legal woes. She started out on the comeback trail last year, appearing in Playboy magazine and booking a role in an upcoming John Gotti bio-picture starring John Travolta.
