"Perry will play Mike, an extremely charming Chicago attorney tasked with heading up a blue-ribbon panel that's investigating a suspicious police shooting," the network said in a synopsis. "When Alicia [played by Julianna Margulies] is assigned to be on the panel, she begins to question the actions he is taking as the chairman."

Perry played Chandler Bing on the sitcom "Friends" for 10 seasons. His other small-screen credits include "The West Wing" and "Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip."
