HOLLYWOOD, Feb. 4 (UPI) -- The television bikers of "Sons of Anarchy" will live to ride another two seasons after FX picked up the series through Season 6, the network said.
The fourth season of the series had its best season last year, averaging more than 5 million viewers per episode, and had previously been renewed for a fifth season.
The Los Angeles Times said the series' creator, Kurt Sutter, recently signed a three-year contract with FX Productions and 20th Century Fox TV, which co-produce "Sons." Sutter will keep control of the series and also have the option of developing new projects for both broadcast and cable television.
