LOS ANGELES, Jan. 29 (UPI) -- "Boardwalk Empire" was declared Best Drama Series and its star Steve Buscemi Best Actor in a Drama at the Screen Actors Guild Awards in Los Angeles Sunday.

"I have to thank our executive producer Martin Scorsese," Buscemi said as he accepted his Best Actor prize for playing a Prohibition-era New Jersey gangster. "To the Screen Actors Guild, this is really an honor to be among everyone in this room tonight. Thank you so much to HBO for supporting us. [Writer-producer] Terence Winter, I will thank you until my dying day. But please don't kill me. I don't want to die prematurely."
