PASADENA, Calif., Jan. 16 (UPI) -- U.S. cable network Nickelodeon says it has licensed 21 11-minute episodes of "Fred: The Show," a new comedy series created by and starring Lucas Cruikshank.

Cruikshank became an Internet sensation for his Fred Figglehorn videos. He later made a guest appearance on Nickelodeon's "iCarly" and headlined the network's TV movies "Fred: The Movie" and "Fred 2: Night of the Living Fred."

In addition to "Fred: The Show," Nickelodeon said it ordered a new pilot called "Marvin," which also will be a starring vehicle for Cruikshank.

The shows were announced Monday by Marjorie Cohn, the network's president of original programming and development.

"Lucas is an immensely talented actor and comedian whose unique brand of humor is a proven winner with our audience," Cohn said in a statement. "The 11-minute format of 'Fred: The Show' will be a great showcase for more of his signature adventures."
