GREENWICH, Conn., Jan. 14 (UPI) -- Former television host Regis Philbin finally sold his home in Connecticut for $3 million, records show.

The Wall Street Journal said the 6,000-square-foot pad in Greenwich was originally listed for $5.9 million in 2008, but was taken off the market for a couple of years after the market tanked.

The home was placed back on the market last year and was sold to an undisclosed buyer.

Philbin and his wife Joy bought the place 20 years ago. It sits on 6 acres and has four bedrooms, a pool and tennis court.

Philbin, 80, recently retired as co-host of "Live With Regis and Kelly."
