The Los Angeles Times rang out the old year noting while Beyonce and husband Jay-Z had not made any announcements on the blessed event, that hasn't stopped the celebrity press from reporting tantalizing tidbits from its sources in the field.
The Times said Saturday that ball got rolling earlier this week when MediaTakeOut.com reported a "very high-profile patient" was due to be admitted to the maternity unit at St. Luke's in New York City at any time.
The report was followed by another story that the new celebrity tot had already made its debut. The baby was identified as a girl named Tiana May Carter. Tiana is the name of the princess in Disney's "Princess and the Frog," and Carter is part of the 42-year-old Jay-Z's real name, Shawn Corey Carter.
Some outliers, however, have posted suspicions that Beyonce, full name Beyonce Giselle Knowles, 30, wasn't pregnant at all but had been wearing a lumpy disguise to fool the public for whatever reason.
