LOS ANGELES, Dec. 22 (UPI) -- Former child star Tracey Gold and singer Carnie Wilson will be the focus of the first episode of the U.S. reality series "Celebrity Wife Swap," ABC said.

"A self-described control freak, actress and producer Tracey Gold swaps her very organized home with free-spirited singer/actress/TV host Carnie Wilson, a believer that love is more important than rules," the network said in a news release.

The show is to premier Jan. 2 on ABC.

Gold is best known for her role as Carol Seaver in the 1980s comedy series "Growing Pains." She is married to Roby Marshall and is the mother of four boys.

Wilson is a member of the music group Wilson Phillips and daughter of the Beach Boys' Brian Wilson. She is married to record producer Rob Bonfiglio with whom she has two young daughters.
