Green, Shelton booked for New Year's show

UNIVERSAL CITY, Calif., Dec. 21 (UPI) -- Cee Lo Green, Blake Shelton, The Roots and Tony Bennett have been booked to perform on "New Year's Eve with Carson Daly" in New York, NBC said.

Drake, Jessie J, Megan Hilty, Jimmy Fallon, Brian Williams, Bob Costas and Ricky Gervais are also set to make appearances on the program.

"There is no better place to be in the world on New Year's Eve than in Times Square," Daly said in a statement. "I look forward to this night all year -- to ring in the New Year with millions of people across the country -- it's a blast."

The 2-hour special is to air live Dec. 31, beginning in prime-time from 10-11 p.m. ET, and continuing at 11:30 p.m.-12:30 a.m. ET with the countdown to 2012 and the first performances of the New Year.
