LOS ANGELES, Dec. 19 (UPI) -- Actor and comedian Fred Willard is to guest star on Rob Schneider's new U.S. sitcom "Rob," CBS announced.

Willard will play George, the title character's reserved father.

Willard is well-known for his roles in writer-director-actor Christopher Guest's movies "This is Spinal Tap," "Waiting for Guffman," "Best in Show," "A Mighty Wind" and "For Your Consideration."
