CLEARWATER, Fla., Dec. 10 (UPI) -- Former pro wrestling champ Hulk Hogan has sued his ex-wife in Florida court over allegedly false tales contained in her new book.
Hogan this week accused Linda Bollea of defaming him with fabricated stories of domestic abuse and homosexual encounters during their stormy marriage.
"He's being accused of all sorts of vile conduct that he did not commit," Hogan's attorney, Wil Florin, told the St. Petersburg (Fla.) Times.
Hogan, whose real name is Terry Bollea, divorced Linda in 2009 after their reality television series ended. They had been married 24 years.
Linda has stated she put up with the alleged abuse for so long because she depended on her husband financially.
The Los Angeles Times said the release of Linda's book has coincided with a publicity tour in which the stories of alleged abuse and hints of gay affairs have been repeated on television.
Linda had no immediate comment on the suit, which was filed in Clearwater.
