NEW YORK, Nov. 18 (UPI) -- Radio star Howard Stern says he is not in talks to replace outgoing "America's Got Talent" judge Piers Morgan, contrary to reports that he is.

"No one's told me anything," Stern told the New York Post. "I heard that they want me for the job. ... I'm honored that they would consider me. ... 'America's Got Talent' is a great show. I love watching the show, I've been watching it from the beginning. I think I'd be better than the Hoff [former judge David Hasselhoff], but who knows? But now, there's nothing to report about it."

The Post then asked Stern if he could tone down his edgy brand of humor for broadcast television.

"Listen I'm not insane. If I were on a network television show, I wouldn't curse," he said. "I've been on David Letterman. I don't go on and curse like a raving lunatic. You broadcast for whatever is appropriate."
