LOS ANGELES, Nov. 14 (UPI) -- "Community" and "Prime Suspect" haven't been canceled, though they are not on NBC's mid-season schedule, network sources told The Hollywood Reporter.

NBC is expected to air episodes of the freshman police drama through the end of the year, then decide whether it wants to order more. The series stars Maria Bello, Aidan Quinn, Brian F. O'Byrne and Kirk Acevedo.

The sitcom "Community," starring Joel McHale and Chevy Chase, is to return to the schedule at a date still to be determined, the entertainment industry trade newspaper said.
