NEW YORK, Nov. 5 (UPI) -- Katie Couric sounded gaga for Lady Gaga in promoting her pending Thanksgiving interview with the pop princess.
Couric sat down with Gaga for the upcoming "Very Gaga Thanksgiving" special on ABC and predicted an eye-opening look at the chart-topping singer.
"We all know Lady Gaga is a phenomenon," Couric said in a written statement. "This is a chance to see more of who she is beneath the wild costumes and staged musical numbers."
While famous for her wild costumes and staged musical numbers, the 25-year-old Lady Gaga also has a close relationship with her family and not-so-close ties to her old high school where she was, according to Couric, "bruised by being excluded from the party."
Billboard said "Gaga Thanksgiving" will air Nov. 24 at 8:30 p.m. EST and feature eight musical numbers, an appearance by Tony Bennett and even a cooking segment with Chicago chef Art Smith.
