LOS ANGELES, Nov. 4 (UPI) -- Actress Vivica A. Fox has broken up with Atlanta club promoter Omar "Slim" White, her fiance of 10 months, UsMagazine.com reported Friday.

Fox, 47, and White, 28, dated for about a year before getting engaged.

"I'm fine!" Fox said via Twitter Thursday about the split. "At work and being very productive! God has got me! As always!"

"She's a good woman," White told TooFab of his former fiancee. "It's just one of those situations where in life people outgrow each other. I'm highly intelligent, very wise and one thing I hate is negativity and drama. I hate arguing, and I value communication no matter what the problem may be. So, as in any relationship, tension can build up and I finally had to walk away."

Fox, who is best known for her work in the films "Independence Day" and "Soul Food," was previously married to singer Christopher Harvest. They divorced in 2002 after four years of marriage.

Fox's small-screen credits include "The Starlet," "Dancing with the Stars," "Curb Your Enthusiasm" and "The Game."
