Teen solves centuries-old math problem
LOS ANGELES, Oct. 6 (UPI) -- U.S. cable network TNT says it will pay tribute to the late Apple founder Steve Jobs by re-airing the TV movie "Pirates of Silicon Valley."
Jobs died Wednesday of cancer at the age of 56.
"Pirates," a 1999 movie about how he, Microsoft founder Bill Gates and Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak revolutionized modern technology, is to air Thursday at 8 p.m. and 10 p.m. ET/PT.
"Pirates," the small-screen adaptation of the book "Fire in the Valley" by Paul Frieberger and Michael Swaine, was nominated for five Emmy Awards. In it, Noah Wyle plays Jobs, Anthony Michael Hall plays Gates and Joey Slotnick plays Wozniak.
"'Pirates of Silicon Valley' follows the fascinating and unforgettable race between technology rivals Apple Computers and Microsoft. From nights of dorm-room tinkering to days of boardroom scheming, their fierce and often humorous battle to rule the fledgling computer empire literally changed the world," TNT said in a synopsis.
