LOS ANGELES, Oct. 4 (UPI) -- Lifetime says it has updated its TV movie "Amanda Knox: Murder on Trial in Italy" to reflect Knox's release from an Italian prison Monday after four years.
Knox, a 24-year-old Washington state woman, was convicted of killing her British roommate in Italy where both were students in 2007. She appealed the conviction and won her freedom this week.
Lifetime told the Los Angeles Times an epilogue regarding the latest development in the sensational case will appear whenever its tele-picture airs.
The movie, starring "Heroes" actress Hayden Panettiere as Knox, is scheduled for re-broadcast Tuesday night. It premiered last February.
