LOS ANGELES, Oct. 3 (UPI) -- "Arrested Development" creator Mitch Hurwitz says his U.S. comedy series is returning to television for a limited time.
The beloved, but ratings challenged sitcom about a wealthy dysfunctional family was canceled five years ago.
TMZ quoted Hurwitz as saying a shortened season will catch fans up on what the characters have been doing, then lead into a planned film.
"We will do 10 episodes and the movie," E! News reported the show's former star Jason Batemen said via Twitter. "Probably shoot them all together next summer for a release in early '13. VERY excited!"
