LOS ANGELES, Sept. 27 (UPI) -- CBS says it has ordered a new U.S. comedy series from former "Saturday Night Live" star Rob Schneider.

The show is to premiere at a time still to be determined during a time during the 2011-2012 season.

Tentatively called "The Rob Schneider Comedy," the series will star Schneider as a "confirmed bachelor who has just married into a tight-knit Mexican-American family," the network said in a news release Tuesday.

The show will also star Cheech Marin, Lupe Ontiveros, Claudia Bassols, Eugenio Derbez, Diana Maria Riva and Ricky Rico, CBS said.
