LOS ANGELES, Sept. 24 (UPI) -- The new U.S. food-themed chat show "The Chew" is to begin airing next week as part of ABC's daytime lineup, the network said.

The ABC soap opera "All My Children" was canceled after 41 years to make room for it. The last episode of the drama series aired on ABC Friday.

"From dishing about the latest in food news, to sharing tips for easy entertaining, to making meals on a budget, 'The Chew' invites viewers into their kitchen weekday afternoons to celebrate and explore life through food," ABC said in a synopsis.

Guests expected to drop by during "The Chew's" inaugural week are Whoopi Goldberg and Joy Behar from "The View," and celebrity chef Paula Deen.
