BURBANK, Calif., Sept. 13 (UPI) -- "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno" has booked troubled actor Charlie Sheen as a guest, NBC announced.
The star is scheduled to appear on Thursday night's edition of the late-night talk show.
"Sheen talks about his new series 'Anger Management' and gives his reaction to Saturday night's roast," NBC noted in a news release. "This marks Sheen's 17th appearance on Leno's couch."
Sheen was fired this year from the sitcom "Two and a Half Men" after eight seasons because of his erratic behavior and substance abuse, as well as for disparaging remarks he made about series creator Chuck Lorre. He later announced he is planning to star in a comedy series inspired by the film "Anger Management," however, it is unclear exactly when or where the show might air. He was roasted last weekend during a program to air on Comedy Central Sept. 19, the same night at the Season 9 premiere of "Two and a Half Men."
