LOS ANGELES, Sept. 9 (UPI) -- Sara Gilbert, a co-host of "The Talk," says she is thrilled rock icon Stevie Nicks has been booked to perform on the U.S. talk show.

The Fleetwood Mac front-woman is to sing on Tuesday's edition of the CBS chat show, it was announced on-air this week. The news came as a surprise to Gilbert who is a longtime fan of Nicks, a Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Fame inductee.

"Best gift ever! I'm almost speechless," Gilbert said. "I'm so excited. Thank you so much!"

Nicks released "In Your Dreams," her first solo album in 10 years, last May.
