LOS ANGELES, Aug. 18 (UPI) -- U.S. reality television stars Jesse James and Kat Von D., who broke up last month, say they have reconciled and once again intend to marry. The pair were planning to celebrate the one-year anniversary of when they started dating by getting married this summer but broke up because their respective careers frequently kept them apart.

Von D., a tattoo artist, was the star of the recently canceled "LA Ink," while James, a custom car builder, starred in "Monster Garage" and competed on "The Celebrity Apprentice."
James Thursday confirmed he and Von. D are again engaged.
"Sometimes you are only given one chance in life," he told People.com. "It was up to me to open my eyes and see it. That girl is my chance. I will never stop fighting and striving to hold on to her. Showing her how special she is, and how much I love her."
James' marriage to actress Sandra Bullock famously crumbled in 2010 after he admitted having numerous extramarital affairs just weeks after the actress won an Oscar for her performance in "The Blind Side."
