NEW YORK, Aug. 12 (UPI) -- U.S. cable network Syfy says it has ordered a fourth season of "Warehouse 13" to start airing in 2012.

The announcement was made Friday by Mark Stern, president of original content for Syfy and co-head of original content for Universal Cable Productions.

"Under executive producer Jack Kenny's leadership, this superlative team of writers, cast and crew continue to turn out a series that only gets better and better with every episode," Stern said in a statement. "'Warehouse 13' is deservedly the most popular series in our history and we're delighted to renew it for a fourth season."

"Warehouse 13" follows a team of agents who work at a massive, top-secret South Dakota storage facility, which houses every strange artifact, mysterious relic, fantastical object and preternatural souvenir ever collected by the U.S. government. The show stars Saul Rubinek, Eddie McClintock, Joanne Kelly, Allison Scagliotti and Aaron Ashmore.
